I remember Aunt Nannie and Uncle Jim Ed very well. Aunt Nannie was more like Grandma than the other sisters. They always attended the family reunions at Grandma and Granddaddy's and I can remember the very first time I visited them. I was probably only about 4 years old and went with my grandparents (They very often took Betty and me with them). I remember everyone was sitting around out in the yard when two big turkeys strolled up. I was so frightened of them. I had never seen a turkey before. Uncle Jim Ed said, "Oh, they won't hurt you". I hid behind Betty Ann. If she was afraid of them, she wouldn't show it. I can also remember the time when Aunt Nannie had a stroke. Betty and I went with Grandma and Granddaddy. Aunt Nannie was laying on a bed but I don't think she could talk. I think she only lived a few days after that. Grandma talked a lot about Aunt Nannie. She loved all her sisters but she was closer to Aunt Nannie.
We were in Limestone and Shelby co. Ala. We had a ball !!
I remember Betty very well, i sure hate to hear she has passed away. Nan
I sent Nancy some i had of the pictures of Ggrandpa James & Mary E. Wicker and of Grandpa Jim Ed and Grandma Nanie Powell. I had trouble trying to put them on the site. I was hopeing Nancy would do it. I haven't had time to look, my Grandkids have been here a lot so i've been busy. Good to hear from you, Nan

I will be looking forward to seeing your pictures. I have been adding a few pictures at a time as I have dial up too and it is slow going for me too. I don't know why...but the first pictures I uploaded took forever but the next ones went much faster.
Love, Mary
Hope every one is doing fine. Ken's feet are giving him a problem - fix one thing (had surgery last year) another goes wrong.
Karissa went to running camp at Eastern IL Univ last week. She works at my office and works at a restaurant (Chili's), so she stays busy. She will be a senior this year. Dillon will be in 8th. No sports this summer I'm good til cross country hits. Then I'll be busy. Karissa's meets are pretty far away and I don't get to go to all of them. Dillon's will be at the same times (Sat mornings)
I'm going to stop and see about finding some pictures. I was at his job and did not remember my sign on but also did not see our profile - so I need to check that out if I have any time. If we are in here twice - that is the explanation.
Love
Lettie
